The Leathes Prior Three Peaks Challenge – the preparation has begun!
On the 15th of September, 19 of the Leathes Prior team, along with some of their partners, will be taking on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge to raise money for the firm’s three Charities of The Year: Finnbar's Force, Norwich Door 2 Door and Norwich Cruse Bereavement Care.

The Charity & Community Projects committee at Leathes Prior have organised for a group of our staff, along with some of their partners, to take on the Yorkshire Three Peaks Challenge on Saturday 15th of September, to raise money for the firm’s three Charities of The Year: Finnbar's Force, Norwich Door 2 Door and Norwich Cruse Bereavement Care.
With the challenge now just two months away, the fundraising team have already taken steps (excuse the pun) to start preparing by spending their lunch times walking up Gas Hill in Norwich – the city’s steepest hill.
The group is travelling by coach after work on Friday 14th September to Ingleton in Yorkshire where they will be staying in dorms with bunk beds for the weekend...all for a good cause! The Yorkshire Three Peaks challenge itself covers over 23.5 miles with a total ascent of 1672 meters and all in the target time of 12 hours - with varying levels of fitness this will certainly prove to be a challenge for the 19 team members taking part and positively gruelling for some. See here to get an idea of the walking itinerary the group will be taking on - a 6.30am start, hopefully with a finish by around 6.00pm.
The team is determined to give everything they possibly can and are hoping to raise £10,000 for the three individual, local and very worthy causes. To find out more about Leathes Prior’s three charities of the year, read our article here.
If you’re able to help us reach our target by donating (every little helps!) please follow this link to our fundraising page.
Wish us luck – we may need it!

Autumn Budget 2025: Agricultural Property Relief & Business Property Relief Changes
It was announced in the 2025 Budget that from 6 April 2026, changes will be made to agricultural property relief and business property relief. These changes bring APR and BPR in line with the nil-rate band rules, meaning unused allowances can be transferred to a surviving spouse or civil partner. This is a significant step towards making estate planning easier for families who own farms or businesses.
