Ellie specialises in advising clients on a full range of family law matters, she is known for her ability to combine her compassion, empathy and approachability with a robustness which helps her achieve the best outcome possible for her clients – both financially and emotionally. She has built up a brilliant reputation as her client feedback will testify.
Ellie has experience across a variety of areas of family law including but not limited to:

- Financial disputes between unmarried couples / property disputes

- Non-Molestation and Occupation Orders
Ellie also has experience in dealing with complex financial remedy cases involving high net worth individuals and family businesses.
Ellie is a member of Resolution – a national group of family lawyers whose aim is to resolve disputes in a conciliatory fashion.
In her spare time Ellie enjoys keeping fit (it is her mission to complete a marathon in the next few years), Country music, paddle boarding (weather permitting), travelling, and eating out with her family and friends.
- Advised on divorces where pension and capital assets regularly exceed £1m+.
- Advised on prenuptial / postnuptial agreements where assets have exceeded £1m+.
- Regularly advises and represents clients in Court in children arrangements cases including cases involving allegations of domestic abuse, substance misuse, parental alienation and mental health issues.
- Invited to deliver a seminar to advisors for a well-known local financial services business.
- Guided clients through the dissolution of civil partnerships.
- Guided sets of grandparents through the Court process in respect of agreeing arrangements for their grandchildren.
- Provided advice to clients with regards to a special guardianship order.
- Graduated from the University of Sheffield in 2017 where she studied Law and Criminology, spending a year of her degree at the University of Tasmania in Australia
- Joined Leathes Prior as a Trainee Solicitor in September 2019 via the firm’s Vacation Scheme
- Studied the LPC at BBP University in Cambridge on a part-time basis whilst completing her training with us
- Qualified into the firm’s Family Team in September 2021
- Promoted to Associate in April 2025
