Leathes Prior & Norfolk Community Foundation: Good for Good
Leathes Prior work in collaboration with Norfolk Community Foundation to support Voluntary, Community & Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations through the Skills Exchange

LP Loves Local is a value we strongly support at Leathes Prior; it fuels much of what we do here. We feel very passionately about supporting our community, and our partnership with Norfolk Community Foundation (NCF) and their Good for Good initiative is just one of the ways we do this.
We have been supporting and working with NCF for several years, more recently through their Good for Good initiative, which partners businesses with charities across Norfolk for lasting community impact.
Partner in our Employment Team, Harriet Howes was a founding member of the Strategic Board who set up Good for Good, playing a role in shaping the programme’s vision and ensuring its relevance to both the Norfolk Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) sector and the local business community. She is delighted at the contribution that we have been able to make so far.
“Giving back to the community is integral to who we are here at Leathes Prior, and so working closely with Good for Good and the Norfolk Community Foundation is a natural collaboration. It is with real pride that we look back over the last year to see the difference that we have made - long may it continue!”
Good for Good is a fantastic way to use your resources to support local VCSE organisations without the challenge of finding those who require the help you can provide. The initiative currently works with over 200 local businesses to deliver meaningful impact across Norfolk.
It takes three easy steps to join Good for Good:
1. Connect with Good for Good (powered by Norfolk Community Foundation);
2. Work in partnership with the Good for Good Team to identify how you can help: this looks different for every business and could be anything from donating assets (space, transport, services or items) to donating your time (mentoring, skilled volunteering or donating professional skills); and
3. Good for Good will connect you with causes that matter to your business, taking all of the challenges of finding partners for your business away from you so you can make real impact with your time and resources.
Our Story:
For us, we focus mostly on the Skills Exchange, which is an element of Good for Good where you can donate professional skills' time to those who need it.
Our 2024-25 Impact Report (which the brilliant team at Good for Good puts together) tells us that from January 2024 to June 2025 we generated over £4,000 in social value across Norfolk communities, with 14 Norfolk VCSE organisations being able to access advice from Leathes Prior on legal matters that they may not otherwise have the funds for.
First Year Impact:
Good for Good is something fantastic to be a part of, and it actually works. In its first full year, over £800,000 in social value was given through member-led action: 161 members donated time, 64 members donated funding, and 27 members donated assets.

Spring Statement 2026 - An Overview
With the Government having restricted itself to one fiscal event a year in the form of the Autumn Budget, the Spring Statement is perhaps not the dramatic moment it used to be. It is more a chance for the Government to respond to events and economic forecasts than to set policy for the future.
