Polly graduated in Law from the University of East Anglia in 2007, before completing her Legal Practice Course at Nottingham Law School. She joined Leathes Prior as a trainee solicitor in 2008 and was admitted as a solicitor in September 2010.
Polly's areas of expertise include advising on commercial contracts, commercial litigation, patents, copyright and intellectual property infringement, passing off, breach of confidence, Injunction proceedings, representative and multi-party actions, construction disputes, defamation and trade libel.
Polly also specialises in education law and acts on behalf of maintained and independent schools, and for individual parents. She advises on all legal aspects relating to school life, including; advice on documentation and procedures (admissions policies, appeals policies etc) that can help to ward off claims, advice on challenges to suspensions, exclusions and admissions decisions, advice on how to secure appropriate special needs provision and issues arising out of provision to pupils (notably SEN, disability and other equality issues) and advice regarding unpaid school fees.
Polly is a Governor of The Free School Norwich, which opened in September 2011 as one of the country’s first new Free Schools. The school's ethos is to provide opportunity and achievement for all.
Polly is also an accredited mediator, having trained with the London School of Mediation.
In her spare time, Polly enjoys exploring the North Norfolk countryside and coastline (and eateries), photography and a variety of sports including squash (which she enjoys challenging her colleagues to a game of) and skiing.
