The Leathes Prior Sports Team have completed a high-profile transfer of a footballer from the National League South (the sixth-tier of English football) to the Premier League.
Dan Chapman, head of Leathes Prior’s Sports Team and the sports agency business Full Contact operated by the firm, yesterday concluded the transfer (for an undisclosed fee) of 23 year old player Freddie Ladapo from Margate FC to Crystal Palace FC.
Dan commented “In a period where there is a lot of focus on the merits and potential of non-league footballers because of the rise of Jamie Vardy, this was always going to be a very high-profile transfer. Freddie is a player who we have believed for some time had the ability to play at the highest level and it has taken a lot of bravery and belief to turn down opportunities to move elsewhere, in wait of the biggest prize of them all – the Premier League. The transfer itself was at the more complex end of the scale and has taken some while to get across the line, but in working closely with the player, Crystal Palace’s team and Margate we are very pleased with the transaction that has taken place.”
The transfer is well reported in all national media outlets today. For any enquiries please contact Dan Chapman .

UK GDPR Update: What the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 Means for Organisations
While several updates under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 came into force on 5 February 2026, the next key development for organisations is still to come. From 19 June 2026, organisations will be legally required to implement a formal complaint handling process for data protection matters. This is a significant shift, placing greater emphasis on resolving issues internally before they escalate to the regulator.
