Leathes Prior Solicitors has advised Circuitlink PTY Limited on its acquisition of RJS UK Holdings Limited, trading as Bowmonk, a well-established UK manufacturer of vehicle testing and compliance equipment.
Bowmonk, founded in 1966, has built a strong global reputation for the design and manufacture of brake testing and vehicle compliance systems. The business has long-standing technical links with Circuitlink, with elements of Bowmonk’s product range incorporating Circuitlink’s proprietary technology.
This transaction represents a natural strategic step for Circuitlink, formally bringing together two highly complementary businesses and strengthening its position in the global vehicle testing and compliance market. As a cross-border acquisition between an Australian buyer and a UK business, the deal further enhances Circuitlink’s international footprint and long-term growth ambitions.
Led by Alex Saunders, with support from Milan Pandit (Corporate), Rebecca Millard (Commercial Property) and Daniel Hughes (Employment), Leathes Prior advised across all aspects of the transaction, from initial structuring through to successful completion.
Lindsay Silcock of Circuitlink commented:
“The team provided exceptional support throughout our acquisition, handling contracts and due diligence with efficiency and precision. Their advice was commercially balanced, always timely, and delivered without the need for follow-up. A genuine pleasure to deal with, I would thoroughly recommend them.”
Alex Saunders added:
“It was a pleasure working with Lindsay and supporting Circuitlink on this acquisition. Bringing these two businesses together, given their existing relationship, creates a strong platform for future growth. We are pleased to have helped guide the transaction through to a successful completion.”
We wish Lindsay and the team the best for the future.

While several updates under the Data (Use and Access) Act 2025 came into force on 5 February 2026, the next key development for organisations is still to come. From 19 June 2026, organisations will be legally required to implement a formal complaint handling process for data protection matters. This is a significant shift, placing greater emphasis on resolving issues internally before they escalate to the regulator.
