Dan Chapman, Managing Partner and Head of Sports at Leathes Prior acted on behalf of Freddie Slater as he becomes the first development driver to be signed by Audi Revolut F1 Team.
The 17-year-old UK driver has demonstrated exceptional talent on the track, securing the Formula Regional European Championship (FRECA) title in his rookie campaign in 2025, which followed championship successes in Italian F4 and UAE F4 in 2024. Freddie was also awarded the Derek Warwick Superstar of the Year Award in December2025, at the prestigious BRDC Annual Awards.
Freddie Slater will now compete in the 2026 FIA Formula 3 Championship this season with Trident Motorsport, as he continues his progression towards the ultimate goal of reaching Formula 1 with Audi. As part of this next phase in his career, Freddie will receive direct support from Audi’s newly established Driver Development Programme, led by former Formula 1 driver Allan McNish. This milestone represents a significant first step in building a long-term future with Audi, both on and off the track.
Dan Chapman said “It was a real pleasure to represent Freddie Slater in this matter, as he becomes the first development driver to be signed by new F1 team Audi. Legal contracts of this nature are complex and can take time to conclude but working with Freddie’s excellent team at ADD Management and also with his family was a real pleasure. With Audi F1 and Allan now in his corner too I am sure that Freddie will go from strength to strength.”
