After spending most of her early career focusing on commercial property matters, Julia has transitioned into assisting clients in the agricultural sector with their property needs.

Julia has continued to assist clients with commercial property matters, advising on the sale and purchase of commercial properties, leasing commercial property and refinancing matters. She also assists with property development matters and strategic land acquisitions. Alongside this, she has considerable experience acting for Parish and Town Councils on their property matters. Julia enjoys the variety and rewards that come with having a wide and diverse specialism.
Julia has a keen interest in assisting clients in the charity sector, regularly advising local charities on property matters to help support their charitable objectives.
In 2025, Julia successfully became a Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association (FALA). This included intensive training sessions and a rigorous multi-disciplinary examination.
Julia’s hobbies include taking part in pub quizzes, exploring Norwich and spending time on the Norfolk coast volunteering.
- Advising the purchaser of a complex purchase of a £5.5 million farm estate in Suffolk, which included advising on option agreements and overage agreements and on the implications of the farmhouse being Grade I listed.
- Advising trustees on the sale of a large unregistered tenanted farm on the Essex/Suffolk border.
- Advising on the sale of a farm in excess of £5 million involving multiple lot sales including residential property and large areas of farmland.
- Acting on the sale of a £2.7 million country house with farmland.
- Advising a landowner on the negotiation on agreements to promote land for residential development with anticipated sale prices of up to £24 million.
- Refinancing a development site with gross development value of £5.5 million
- Assisting on the sale of a long leasehold interest at Cambridge Science Park for over £2.5 million.
- Advising an independent school on the acquisition of a site for their new campus, subject to planning.
- Studied law at the University of York – 2012
- Qualified as a Solicitor in October 2015
- Joined the Commercial & Agricultural Property Teams at Leathes Prior in March 2021, bringing a wealth of experience working at international, national, and regional firms
- Promoted to Senior Associate in May 2024
- Fellow of the Agricultural Law Association since 2025
