Leathes Prior recognises that Intellectual Property (IP) rights are often an extremely valuable resource to a business and our IP Team provides practical assistance in identifying, protecting and commercially exploiting this resource.
Our IP Team has close contacts with respected trade mark and patent agents (nationally and internationally) who assist with the registration of patents and trademarks, including the drafting of patent specifications. We will often also work closely with clients, their business and financial advisers and their existing trade mark and patent agents in developing a strategy for the development, marketing and protection of their products and brands. We have considerable experience in investigating title to IP rights and drafting technology transfer agreements ensuring that these comply with EU and other regulations and requirements as applicable.
