Charity of the Month: The Sunshine Memory Café
Leathes Prior is delighted to be supporting The Sunshine Memory Café as our Charity of the Month for March 2026, with funding being raised from our 'LP Big Fat Quiz of the 150th Year' event.

Leathes Prior is delighted to be supporting The Sunshine Memory Café in Reepham, as our Charity of the Month for March 2026.
The Sunshine Memory Café is a space for those with dementia and their carers to come together every second and forth Thursday of the month at St Michaels in Reepham. The café offers a warm and welcoming environment including games, entertainment, music, and an opportunity to connect over a coffee and slice of cake or a biscuit – all free of charge to those who attend. This is only possible with the support of Reepham Rotary, Reepham Coop & donations.
Last year, the group took a trip to Pensthorpe to enjoy a cream tea and walks around the park. The café were able to provide a coach with wheel-chair lift, and fund the day free of charge to guests and helpers, which is only possible with donations.
If you or someone you know may benefit from attending the group, you can join their sessions 10am – 12pm on the second and forth Thursday of the month, the sessions are usually very well attended and create a wonderful environment.
If you would like to support this fantastic group, you can create fundraising events of your own to raise funds which will support the groups activities. This month we are hosting a firmwide pub quiz ‘LP Big Fat Quiz of the 150th Year’ to raise funds for the café.

Spring Statement 2026 - An Overview
With the Government having restricted itself to one fiscal event a year in the form of the Autumn Budget, the Spring Statement is perhaps not the dramatic moment it used to be. It is more a chance for the Government to respond to events and economic forecasts than to set policy for the future.

The Value of Planning Ahead: LPAs & Court of Protection
Putting LPAs in place allows you to choose trusted people to make decisions for you if you lose capacity in the future. This avoids the need for loved ones to make a costly and time-consuming deputyship application to the Court of Protection. With more people likely to experience conditions affecting capacity, more families may need to turn to the Court for support where no LPAs are in place.
