Leathes Prior is delighted to be supporting the Sue Lambert Trust as our Charity of the Month for February 2026. Sue Lambert Trust is a leading charity in Norfolk offering free therapeutic counselling and support services to survivors of sexual violence and abuse.
The charity provides a kind, safe, non-judgmental and supportive range of services which comes in many forms:
Groundwork and stabilisation
Experiencing a traumatic event can impact on all areas of life. The team provide practical and emotional support, such as assisting with housing and finances and accessing health and wellbeing services. Their Emotional Skills Programme also provides people with the tools to manage the symptoms of trauma.
Therapy and Counselling
Their team of experienced, qualified and trainee counsellors offer one-to-one sessions and group therapy. Always adopting a person-centered approach, they work to understand each person’s unique experience, personal circumstances and preferences before recommending a course of therapy.
Support groups
Sue Lambert Trust hosts lots of support groups, including music, art-based and creative writing, many of which are led by our clients. They also host regular informal group sessions. A safe and kind space to talk. All groups are open to clients for as long as needed.
Guided self-help
Their resources section, compiled by the specialist team at Sue Lambert Trust, contains articles, advice and self-help guides for survivors of sexual abuse and sexual violence.
Getting involved
In order to continue to provide their much needed, and in high demand services for free, the Trust needs our help and support. Changes to qualifying period: Time to rethink probation periods?
From 1 January 2027, the qualifying period is reducing from two years to six months. But the reality is that the new law will apply to all employees who have already accumulated at least six months of continuous employment by this date. This means that now is the right time for employers to be reviewing their employment contracts and rethinking strategies on probationary periods.
