Leathes Prior are extremely proud to have received two nominations in the LawCareers.net Awards 2020.

Leathes Prior are extremely proud to have received two nominations in the LawCareers.net Awards 2020. We have been nominated for the ‘Best Recruiter – Medium Regional Firm’ award and the firm’s Training Principal Dan Chapman is nominated for the ‘Best Training Principal (small trainee intake)’ award. As a firm that prides ourselves on offering an outstanding training for our trainee solicitors, Leathes Prior is delighted to have been nominated for these prestigious awards.
The firms Training Principal Dan Chapman said ““It is a real honour to have been nominated as Best Recruiter and Best Training Principal by LawCareers.net. As a firm we take training extremely seriously at Leathes Prior, relying on our trainee solicitor recruitment process and subsequent training methodology as a steady and trusted source for our qualified solicitors and many of our future Partners. Indeed many of our current Partners first joined us as trainee solicitors via this process. We set out to create an environment whereby our trainees are immediately provided with the opportunity to flourish, with responsibility provided early on. It is hugely appreciated that LawCareers.net have acknowledged these efforts with their nominations and we will be joining the live awards ceremony via the Facebook live link on the evening of Thursday 14 May – along with the other extremely worthy nominees.”
Whilst it is a shame we can’t all gather together for the evening as planned, we are very much looking forward to the virtual award ceremony taking place on Thursday 14 May at 5.30pm.

But the reality is that the new law will apply to all employees who have already accumulated at least six months of continuous employment by this date. This means that now is the right time for employers to be reviewing their employment contracts and rethinking strategies on probationary periods.
