Leathes Prior is delighted to be supporting Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity as our Charity of the Month for April 2025. Excitingly, the charity is working to establish a Roald Dahl Nurse in Norfolk to support seriously ill children locally, along with their families.

This month, we are delighted to be supporting Roald Dahl's Marvellous Children's Charity as our Charity of the Month, raising funds to support them in placing a Roald Dahl Nurse in Norfolk at the Jenny Lind Children's Hospital.
Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity provides specialist nurses and support for seriously ill children. There are currently over 150 Roald Dahl Nurses caring for over 36,000 seriously ill children across the UK. The charity also provides support in other ways, helping to improve the resilience of families who find life very tough. Excitingly, the charity is working to establish a Roald Dahl Nurse in Norfolk to support seriously ill children locally, along with their families. Based at Jenny Lind Children’s Hospital, the new local Roald Dahl Nurse will focus on children with medical complexities who live in Norfolk and the region beyond.
Children with medical complexities need high-quality, specialist care. Max is one such child. Aged 9, Max lives with epilepsy and a GRIN2D-related disorder. Unable to walk or talk, Max relies on a feeding tube, is registered blind and experiences regular seizures. Click here to learn about how Max and his foster mum, Suzannah, receive support from their Roald Dahl Nurse.
Leathes Prior is excited to be fundraising for Roald Dahl’s Marvellous Children’s Charity, donating towards supporting this vital project to help establish a local Roald Dahl Nurse in Norfolk via a marvellous bake sale in April.

These changes bring APR and BPR in line with the nil-rate band rules, meaning unused allowances can be transferred to a surviving spouse or civil partner. This is a significant step towards making estate planning easier for families who own farms or businesses.
