This February, we are thrilled to spotlight Little Lifts as our Charity of the Month, they are a wonderful charity making a world of difference to those facing the challenges of breast cancer. Each year there are approximately 55,000 women and 400 men diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK. It is the most common cancer in the UK with one woman diagnosed every 10 minutes. Little Lifts is a Norfolk-based charity on a mission to support every person affected by breast cancer in the UK and we're excited to share with you why their mission is so meaningful and how you can be a part of their incredible journey to reaching this target.

To date, they have already gifted an incredible 26,709 Little Lifts boxes - each one a reminder that no one should face their journey alone.

What makes Little Lifts special?

As their name suggests, Little Lifts is all about offering small yet meaningful gestures that make a big impact during an incredibly challenging time. Their thoughtful Radiotherapy Boxes and Chemotherapy Boxes are packed with NHS-approved, carefully chosen goodies and practical items designed to bring comfort, care, and encouragement to those undergoing treatment.

What's inside? A mix of mood-boosting and practical essentials to brighten a difficult day. Think heat packs, heated eye masks, herbal teas, soothing moisturisers, sleep kits, natural deodorants, gentle soaps, and even soft toothbrushes. The boxes don’t just prepare beneficiaries for treatment—they’re curated to feel like a warm hug, reminding them they are not alone.

But Little Lifts doesn’t stop there. Their wonderful community club brings people together, creating opportunities to connect, share, and support one another.

How can I receive a box?

Little Lifts currently partners with NHS hospitals across the East of England where dedicated Oncology, Radiotherapy, and Breast Care Teams give these special boxes directly to patients. If you are receiving treatment under any of their partner hospitals you will receive a box, however, if you are not receiving treatment through one of their partner hospitals, don't worry. Through their Little Kindness Fund, boxes can be gifted to beneficiaries across the UK. And if you'd like to share one of these beautiful boxes with a loved one, or even for yourself, you can purchase a Little Lifts box through their online shop.

What these wonderful boxes really mean...

‘It was such a lovely surprise, as I didn’t even realise a parcel was due to be delivered! It certainly made my day, if not week! I felt very lucky to have been the recipient of such a generous and well thought out Box. It was packaged beautifully and you could tell a lot of thought had gone into every product. In particular, I really liked the metal free deodorant, as I didn’t even realise the benefits of this during radiotherapy. The moisturiser has been so soothing after my lumpectomy and will continue to use during my recovery. The chocolate buttons were a huge hit and didn’t last very long! The heated eye mask was so calming and I used it alongside the pulse point before sleeping. All of the products were so lovely!!’ - Lesley

‘It was so uplifting when I got home opening a box full of goodies to help me while going through chemo treatment. Coming away from my first Oncology appointment, I was so scared about the treatment plan ahead, so it was a lovely little positive that made me smile. I’m loving the ice lolly recipes, as they soothe my mouth. The Biona pom hearts were amazing. The wheat bag has been so helpful with stomach aches. The Moogoo cream is great, I’ve brought more Moogoo products since as liked it so much. The sleep better spray has helped lots to relax me at night.’ - Lily

‘I am utterly moved and grateful for the exquisite Little Lifts Box that I received during my breast cancer journey. Having undergone a double mastectomy in September and currently navigating the challenging path of chemotherapy before radiotherapy, this thoughtful gift has truly been a beacon of comfort and support in the midst of a tumultuous time. Every item in the Box seems to have been chosen with immense care and empathy. The soothing lotion and lip balm, in particular, have already become cherished companions in combating the dryness that often accompanies chemotherapy. The thoughtful inclusion of chemotherapy essentials has made an incredible difference in my daily life, and I am genuinely touched by the attention to detail.
This Box is not just a collection of items; it is a manifestation of compassion and understanding. In the midst of the physical and emotional toll that cancer treatment takes, your thoughtful gift has managed to uplift my spirits in a way words cannot fully express. It is, without a doubt, the most considerate and heartfelt gift I have ever received.
Your generosity has inspired me to pay it forward. Once I am back at work, I am committed to supporting this remarkable charity, ensuring that others receive the same warmth that I have.
In this Box, I found not just well-crafted essentials but a reservoir of hope, care, and the affirmation that I am not alone on this journey. Please accept my deepest gratitude for making a profound difference in my life during a time when it was needed the most.’
- Sabas
