Our Charity of the Month - Little Lifts

Leathes Prior is delighted to be supporting Little Lifts as our Charity of the Month again for July 2025. For those unfamiliar with Little Lifts, they are a Norfolk-founded charity dedicated to supporting individuals with breast cancer by spreading strength, one wonderful box at a time.

Every year, approximately 55,000 women and 400 men are diagnosed with breast cancer in the UK, and around 61,000 women live with secondary (incurable) breast cancer in the UK.

Their mission is to deliver gift boxes to every breast cancer patient in the UK, offering comfort, care, and strength during one of the toughest times in their lives. To date, they have given over 32,500 boxes to breast cancer patients, increasing by nearly 6,000 in just 5 months. We are so excited to share with you the amazing impact Little Lifts is making and how you can get involved.

The significant impact Little Lifts make…

Little Lifts gifts NHS approved care packages filled with high-quality and carefully chosen items to help ease the side effects of chemotherapy or radiotherapy and support emotional wellbeing. Each Little Lifts box is thoughtfully curated to provide comfort and care to individuals undergoing cancer treatment. The Chemotherapy Box includes a selection of practical yet indulgent items, such as soothing heat packs to ease joint pain, nourishing moisturiser to combat dry skin, and an ultra-soft toothbrush designed to minimise discomfort. While, the Radiotherapy Box offers moments of calm and self-care, featuring items like organic chocolate for a gentle treat, a pulse point roller to encourage relaxation, and a variety of other carefully chosen products to support wellbeing throughout treatment. These boxes aren’t just gifts, they are tangible reminders that someone cares, and 100% of recipients report that the boxes make them feel supported during treatment. Little Lifts is proving that small gestures can have a truly transformative impact on the cancer experience.

How can I receive a Little Lifts box?

Little Lifts’ partners with NHS hospitals across the East of England including Norfolk, Suffolk, Essex and Cambridgeshire, where their boxes are offered directly to patients. However, if you are not receiving treatment under their partnered hospitals, you can access them via their Little Kindness Fund, where they are gifted to beneficiaries across the UK. There is also the option to purchase a box either for yourself or someone else via their online shop too.

How we’re making a difference:

This month we’re raising funds for Little Lifts at our annual LP Summer Party, where Little Lifts will have a box-packing station, giving our guests a hands-on opportunity to learn more about the boxes, their contents and why they are so important. Guests can take part in packing boxes that will be delivered to breast cancer patients across the UK, as well as enter our charity raffle.
