Leathes Prior is thrilled to announce three Trainee Solicitors qualify at the firm: Anna Jordan, Kate Wheeler, and Milan Pandit.
Leathes Prior is delighted to announce that three of our talented trainees, Anna Jordan, Kate Wheeler, and Milan Pandit, have successfully completed their training contracts and will be qualifying as solicitors in September 2024. This marks a significant milestone in their legal careers and an exciting development for Leathes Prior.
Anna Jordan will be qualifying into our Residential Property Team. Throughout her training contract, Anna has been a key member of this team sitting with Partner Stephen Wilson, working closely with clients on a variety of residential transactions. Her attention to detail and ability to manage client expectations have made her an invaluable asset. Anna has handled everything from first-time buyer purchases to high-value property transactions, ensuring a smooth process for our clients. During her training contract, Anna spent time with the Property Disputes and Wills, Trusts & Probate Teams where she gained valuable experience to assist her and her clients in the future. We are excited to have Anna continue her work with us as a Solicitor, where she will undoubtedly contribute to the continued success of our Residential Property Team.
Kate Wheeler will be qualifying into our Commercial Property Team. Kate has demonstrated a natural ability for handling commercial property matters whilst working alongside Partner Lucy Whipps. Her ability to understand the intricate needs of our commercial clients and provide tailored advice has been a highlight of her time with us. Kate’s thoroughness and professionalism have earned her the trust and respect of both colleagues and clients. During her training contract, Kate has also spent time with the Corporate & Commercial and the Employment Teams where she gained valuable knowledge to assist her further in her career. As she steps into her new role as a Solicitor, we are confident that Kate will continue to be a driving force within our Commercial Property Team.
Milan Pandit will be qualifying into our Corporate & Commercial Team. Milan has shown exceptional skill in advising clients on a broad range of corporate and commercial matters. Assisting Partner, Alex Saunders with a number of mergers and acquisitions, business restructures, and commercial contracts. His analytical approach and keenness to learn the commercial landscape have been crucial in delivering successful outcomes for clients. Alongside his time in Corporate & Commercial, Milan has also spent time with the Residential Property, Litigation & Dispute Resolution Teams throughout his training contract. We are thrilled to see Milan continue to build on his expertise as he qualifies into our Corporate and Commercial Team and look forward to seeing many more LinkedIn posts in the future.

Autumn Budget 2025: Agricultural Property Relief & Business Property Relief Changes
It was announced in the 2025 Budget that from 6 April 2026, changes will be made to agricultural property relief and business property relief. These changes bring APR and BPR in line with the nil-rate band rules, meaning unused allowances can be transferred to a surviving spouse or civil partner.
