We have an exciting opportunity to  join our Risk and Compliance team as a Risk & Compliance Assistant. Previous experience in a regulated industry in an administrative or assistant capacity rolewould be advantageous.

You will play a crucial role in assisting in the Risk & Compliance manager with ensuring regulatory adherence across the firm as well as being responsible for conducting and coordinating routine compliance file reviews. The role holder will also assist with the maintaining of logs, registers and dashboards to create timely management information to help inform strategic decisions.  

The Post and candidate

We are looking for someone who will provide Risk & Compliance support to the firm ensuring regulatory adherence and consistency amongst our policies and procedures relating to compliance.

The main duties of the position include:

• Assisting with the maintaining of consistent logs, registers, and dashboard for the production of MI.

• Supporting the Risk & Compliance Manager with administrative duties as well as Fee Earners with tasks such as CQS renewal and renewal programmes for insurances

• Conducting and coordinating routine compliance file reviews and action any follow up tasks

• Tracking and escalating any compliance issues generated by the file review process

• Monitoring AML, onboarding and file completion documentation

• Supporting with the administration of the wider training for staff on compliance and other refresher courses

• Supporting the Risk & Compliance Manager with providing information and feedback to the People and Culture Team in a timely manner

• Be a point of contact for the wider firm for Risk & Compliance queries

• Provide support for any other additional tasks dependent on business needs by the Risk & Compliance Manager or the wider Management Team

What we’re looking for:

• Strong organisational and time-management skills

• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal

• Good working knowledge of IT and computer-based systems including Microsoft Windows, Office 365 and Active Directory

• Excellent attention to detail and the ability to problem solve

• The ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment

We anticipate this post to fulfil 35 hours per week, and we welcome applications from candidates wishing to discuss flexible working patterns

Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 per annum
