We are now recruiting for a Legal Assistant to join our well-established Residential Property Team. Previous experience in a property conveyancing support role would offer an advantage but we would consider an administrative assistant working in a similar environment.
You will play a crucial role in supporting our property law team while gaining invaluable experience to advance your career. This is a fantastic opportunity to work alongside experienced property lawyers and gain hands-on exposure to a wide range of property transactions. The team (currently comprising fifteen fee earners and six support staff) offers specialist advice and support on many different types of conveyancing transactions and acts for a wide range of clients from individuals to business clients with a national presence.
The Post and candidate
The successful candidate will provide administrative support to the team playing a key role in ensuring the smooth running of all types of property matters.
The main duties of the position include:
Some of the typical key stages are likely to include:
- Ensuring excellent levels of client service are maintained at all times to prospective and existing clients;
- Assisting lawyers with document preparation, filing, and correspondence
- Monitoring and fielding email enquiries from prospective and existing clients, and passing onto the team, as appropriate;
- Coordinating property transactions, including liaising with clients, solicitors, and third parties;
- Typing, preparing and formatting documents;
- Maintaining client files, to include electronic and paper filing, and efficient utilisation of the case management system;
- Assisting in the management of electronic diaries for the team;
- Assisting the team with accounting processes such as preparation of invoices and assisting with credit control and;
- Administrative involvement in the key areas of a property transaction including exchange of contracts, completion and post completion formalities.
