Leathes Prior welcomes new Facilities Manager Matthew Chaplin to the firm
Matthew brings with him a wealth of experience, with ten years managing the Health, Safety and Facilities at a leading International Book Wholesaler Bertram Group.


We are delighted to welcome Matthew Chaplin to Leathes Prior, taking on the role of Facilities Manager.
Matthew brings with him a wealth of experience, with ten years managing the Health, Safety and Facilities at a leading International Book Wholesaler Bertram Group. He has a strong background in procurement and contractor management and delivering legal compliance.
Matthew obtained EDI Level 3 NVQ in Management in 2010, a NEBOSH National General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety in 2013 and is also a trained DSE assessor.
Matthew will be responsible for ensuring the smooth running of facilities across all of Leathes Prior’s offices, as well as taking care of all aspects of health & safety, and fire safety at the firm. Matthew will ensure that the firm’s buildings (all of which are grade II listed and based in the historic Cathedral Close and Tombland) are well equipped to meet the needs of our staff and clients, and are maintained to the highest standard.
