Leathes Prior grows the firm’s Business Development and Marketing Team

Peter Lambert has accepted a permanent position at Leathes Prior as Business Development & Marketing Manager, with Charlotte Sheehy returning from maternity leave as Head of Business Development & Operations, a new role for the firm.
The retention of Peter is a significant investment in the marketing function at the firm. Peter brings with him a successful background in business development within the local area and has already made an excellent impact in the short time he has been at the firm.
The firm has also bolstered the team with support from Natasha Todd and Sophie Carter, who both assist Charlotte and Peter with event management, digital marketing and PR matters.
As Leathes Prior continues to grow, Charlotte’s new role will see her working more closely with the firm’s Management Committee and across the management team in an operational role, whilst also continuing to head up the Business Development & Marketing Team.
Partner and member of the firm’s Management Committee Dan Chapman said “It is a key part of our strategy for the coming years to invest more resource into our Marketing & Business Development Team. In addition to wishing to enhance our presence and activity in both the local and regional marketplace and also digitally, the Team will be playing a key role in ensuring that the service levels provided to new and existing clients across the firm remains exceptional at all times.”

Autumn Budget 2025: Agricultural Property Relief & Business Property Relief Changes
It was announced in the 2025 Budget that from 6 April 2026, changes will be made to agricultural property relief and business property relief. These changes bring APR and BPR in line with the nil-rate band rules, meaning unused allowances can be transferred to a surviving spouse or civil partner. This is a significant step towards making estate planning easier for families who own farms or businesses.
