Mike Barlow
Partner
Mike is Managing Partner of the firm and also heads the Dispute Resolution team. He handles a wide range of disputes including commercial actions, franchising and intellectual property litigation and construction disputes.
Mike graduated from the University of Hull following which he enjoyed an early career in commerce. Mike joined Leathes Prior in 1995, qualifying as a solicitor in 1997.
Mike works closely with the Commercial team and also undertakes non-contentious work. His extensive experience in dealing with commercial matters (including franchising and licensing matters) means that clients are able to benefit from the pragmatic advice he is able to offer reflecting their commercial needs.
The Legal 500 2009 publication notes that, “Clients heartily recommend Leathes Prior [for Commercial Litigation], where Mike Barlow is extremely professional in his application, extremely approachable and to the point” and the 2010 version adds that Mike is “modest, easy to deal with and very good with clients”.
