Leathes Prior’s Milan Pandit appointed President of the Norfolk & Norwich Law Society
Leathes Prior Solicitors is proud to announce that Milan Pandit, Solicitor in our Corporate & Commercial Team, has been appointed President of the Norfolk & Norwich Law Society (NNLS) for 2025/26.
Milan’s appointment reflects both his personal contribution to and passion for the legal profession and those who seek to enter it. Having joined Leathes Prior as a trainee in 2022 and qualifying into the Corporate & Commercial Team in 2024, Milan has quickly established himself as a capable and forward-thinking lawyer. His work spans company sales and acquisitions, corporate restructures, employee share schemes, and other corporate arrangements for a wide range of clients, from early-stage businesses to established corporate groups.
Alongside his fee-earning work, Milan has become a recognisable voice within Norfolk’s legal and business circles. His growing presence on LinkedIn has developed into a valuable platform for highlighting legal updates, offering practical insights for business owners, and championing the wider Norfolk professional community. His commentary is increasingly relied upon by clients and fellow lawyers alike.
Milan has already played a hands-on role within the Norfolk & Norwich Law Society, previously serving as Vice President to outgoing President Kerry Read. His willingness to take an active role in shaping the Society’s future has been widely recognised by peers across the region.
Reflecting on his appointment, Milan Pandit said:
“To be elected President is a genuine honour. Norfolk has a strong, collaborative and proudly independent legal community, and representing it is a responsibility I take seriously. My focus for the year ahead is to build on Kerry Read’s great work and strengthen engagement across the profession, support those entering the sector, and continue raising the profile of Norfolk’s legal talent. I am also keen to use the visibility of the role to help modernise aspects of the Society’s work and ensure we remain relevant, accessible and outward-looking for years to come.”
Managing Partner, Dan Chapman, added:
“This is a great opportunity for Milan and a reflection of the work he has put into the Society over the past year, but also his enthusiasm for the legal profession. I am sure he will bring a lot of energy to this key role, which a number of Leathes Prior lawyers have occupied during the Society’s rich history. All of us at the firm are pleased to see him take on the role, and we look forward to continuing to support him and the Society throughout his term.”
Milan will lead the Society’s programme of events, initiatives and member engagement throughout the year, working closely with the NNLS Committee to support and promote the legal profession in Norfolk. His appointment underlines both his individual achievements and Leathes Prior’s long-standing commitment to helping shape the future of the legal sector in the region.
