Training Contracts
Who should apply
Save for exceptional cases, we look for a minimum 2.1 degree (in any discipline) and a genuine desire to practise law. Our recruits will be excellent lawyers who demonstrate good commercial awareness and marketing skills, and who want to work in an environment where initiative is rewarded and responsibility comes early. Ample social, networking and professional development opportunities are available. Those without ambition need not apply.
Training programme
We aim to compile training programmes to meet the wishes of individual trainees. Four six-month seats in different teams is the normal pattern, but some trainees may spend more time in one team than another. All trainees will work directly with the firm's partners and will gain excellent hands-on experience of contentious and non-contentious work. Trainees will be expected to see clients and run their own caseload when they are sufficiently experienced and when appropriate opportunities arise.
