Alisdair has an economics degree and converted to the Law by completing the Diploma in Law conversion course in 1993 at BPP Law School in London and then completing the LPC at Nottingham Law School in 1994.
Alisdair qualified as a Solicitor in April 1997 after completing his training contract at Nicholsons Solicitors in Lowestoft. In May 2003 Alisdair became a partner at Steed and Steed LLP based in Suffolk and Essex. Alisdair joined Leathes Prior as a Partner in February 2011.
He has over 14 years experience specialising in family law and is an Advanced Member of the Family Law Panel which is regulated by The Solicitors Regulation Authority and is an accredited specialist of Resolution in the disciplines of advanced financial provision and children law private. Alisdair can advise clients in respect of all manners of family disputes including co-habitation disputes, divorce, financial relief (including pre-nuptial agreements) and children matters.
Alisdair is a trained collaborative lawyer and a Resolution trained family mediator. Resolution is a national group of lawyers whose main aim is to resolve disputes in as conciliatory a fashion as possible.
