Paula Lawn
Associate
Paula chose a career in Law after working for a number of different organisations from the Royal Air Force through to Norwich Union . She studied Law as a mature student at UEA, winning a Sweet & Maxwell prize.
Whilst her experience covers the whole spectrum of Employment Law issues, Paula has a passionate interest in the protection and promotion of the rights of individuals in the workplace. She recognises that the issues facing her clients are unique and she tailors her advice to suit each individual. She has a particular expertise in discrimination claims, devising exit strategies for senior executives and in relation to complex Employment Tribunal cases. Paula can assist an individual with all employment-related matters and has a hands-on and practical approach to problem solving. Paula is also a skilled negotiator .
In the event that a matter cannot be resolved swiftly and amicably, Paula has an enviable track record at the Employment Tribunal and is willing to consider undertaking appropriate cases on a "no win, no fee" basis.
Paula has a reputation for defending her clients’ rights fiercely. Praised by clients as a “fantastic solicitor” whose “experience made a great difference”, Paula is a large part of the reason why Leathes Prior has “captured the claimant market” in East Anglia [Chambers UK]. In fact, Paula was the only employee-focused employment lawyer mentioned in recent years in the Chambers’ review of the legal profession in this region.
